Δυστυχώς η εφαρμογή δεν κατάφερε να περάσει τον αυστηρό έλεγχο του App store, και ο λόγος σύμφωνα με την Apple είναι:

“This category of applications is primarily used to infringe copyrights of third parties.”

EA has just released a Star Trek game for the iPhone/iPod touch and its available now.



Star Trek, while nice looking enough in these screens, looks to be a pretty standard shooter. You steer the Enterprise with the accelerometer, tap the screen to fire and, if you live, watch Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk embrace after, at long last, cleansing the Universe of those pesky non-human, non-Vulcan races. It looksto be fun despite its non-unique gameplay. Star Trek is $3 at the App Store now, and it looks lots better than that official phaser game released a few weeks back.

Come summer, and world of smartphones seem to keep a watchful eye on every move of Apple Inc. While the world patiently awaits the launch of iPhone OS 3.0 this summer, news is rife about the launch of two iPhone devices – Mediapad and iPhonelite. It has almost become like a ritual now for Apple to launch an upgraded version of the iPhone ever summer, since the launch of the first iPhone in summer 2007.

BoyGeniusReport posts a screenshot from debugging menus in the 3.0 beta firmware which seems to confirm that Apple has built-in magnetometer (digital compass) support into the operating system.

Evidence of a magnetometer was first reported in April and MacRumors has heard that the magnetometer will indeed be present in the next generation iPhone expected this summer. We previously explored what additional functionality would come with a digital compass. The possibilities were particularly intriguing:

Examples of how this could be used include pointing your iPhone's camera at a building and the phone telling you what building it is by combining GPS, accelerometer and compass information. The iPhone could even overlay graphics and text on top of the image to provide additional information. Another application described is the ability to show information about stars and constellations simply by pointing your iPhone towards the sky.

Η iPhone OS 3 beta 4 κυκλοφόρησε μαζί με το νέο iPhone SDK 3.0 Beta 4.

Οι σημαντικότερες αλλαγές στην νέα έκδοση είναι η δυνατότητα εναλλαγής των iTunes accounts απευθείας από το iPhone και η προσθήκη της επιλογής ‘retake‘ στο camera.app.

Αλλαγές στην iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 4:

- App Store Settings icon is now present as it was blank before
- Users can now login and logout of multiple iTunes accounts on their iPhone or iPod touch
- It has been verified that the downloading of apps from different iTunes accounts on the device is now allowed! No more wiping a device - just logout and log back in!
- Copy and Paste is now allowed in the Calculator app
- Retake option in camera.app
- The option to create an iTunes account on the device is shown, however attempts to do so have been met with “Cannot Connect to App Store” errors
- In iTunes 8.2 pre-release with a device connected, the “Info” tab is completely different
- iTunes 8.2 pre-release states that the syncing of Notes requires that Mac OS X 10.5.7 is required, although it has not been released yet
- iTunes “About” screen references Blu-ray.

Σύμφωνα με το PhoneNews.com, ένα τουλάχιστον από τα Νext generation iPhone και iPod touch θα διαθέτει higher resolution screen και θα υποστηρίζει full HD video output !

Ένα ακόμα hint αναφέρει οτι η Apple προσπαθεί να ξεστοκάρει τα Composite AV Cable και Component AV Cable που διαθέτουν οι resellers με σκοπό την αντικατάσταση τους από ένα και μόνο καλώδιο.
Το καλώδιο το οποίο θα ονομάζεται Apple AV Cable θα υποστηρίζει και component και composite output!

Η νέα γενιά των iPhone και iPod touch φημολογείται οτι θα υποστηρίζει αναπαραγωγή full HD, ανάλυσης 720p και 1080i!

Εγκαθιστώντας το iBluetooth αποκτάτε τη δυνατότητα αποστολής και λήψης μέσω bluetooth! Κάτι που έλειπε από το iPhone! Τώρα μπορείτε να το κάνετε απολύτως δωρεάν ακολουθώντας το παρακάτω tutorial!

1)Πηγαίνετε στη σελίδα http://www.xsellize.com και γίνετε μέλος. Η εγγραφή είναι απολύτως δωρεάν!

2)Ανοίγετε το Cydia στη συσκευη σας και πηγαίνετε στα Manage-Sources-Edit-Add και προσθέτετε το link http://xsellize.com/cydia/user-pass/ όπου user βαζετε το usename που δηλώσατε κατά την εγγραφή σας στο προηγούμενο βήμα και αντίστοιχα to password σας.

3)Κάνετε save. Πηγαίνετε στο Sections-X Apps και θα βρείτε εκεί το iBluetooth έτοιμο crackαρισμενο μαζί με άλλα προγράμματα! Το κάνετε install και είστε έτοιμοι για να κάνετε την πρώτη σας αποστολή/λήψη μέσω bluetooth!

Και το σημαντικότερο απολύτως δωρεάν και χωρίς περιορισμούς και trial εκδόσεις!

Η χρήση της τεχνολογίας multitouch της Apple στο iPhone θα μπορούσε κάλλιστα να χρησιμοποιηθεί και για την κατασκευή άλλων συσκευών με άπειρες δυνατότητες! Τέτοιο είναι και το touch table της Illusions Labs.

Νέα αναβάθμιση του iTunes από την Apple σήμερα που φτάνει αισίως την έκδοση 8.1.1. Η νέα έκδοση προσθέτει υποστήριξη για το νέο ipod Shuffle και την ενοικίαση ταινιών HD. Μέχρι σήμερα HD ταινίες μπορούσαν να νοικιάσουν μόνο οι κάτοχοι Apple TV. Τέλος, μας υπόσχεται αρκετά bug fixes και πιο γρήγορα backup και sync στο iPhone μας, καθώς και ταχύτερο optimize των φωτογραφιων μας!

Apple has released a new version update for iTunes today that brings the application up to version 8.1.1.

iTunes 8.1.1 adds support for renting HD movies and provides a number of bug fixes, including addressing issues with VoiceOver and syncing with iPhone or iPod touch.

Από την κυκλοφορία του iPhone OS 3.0 beta και έπειτα έχουν διαρρεύσει αρκετά στοιχεία για την ύπαρξη νέας συσκευής iphone. Πλέον νέα στοιχεία έχουν εμφανιστεί και κάνουν λόγο για:

1)υποστήριξη low power 802.11n wireless networking

The new version of the existing Broadcom chip that supplies WiFi and Bluetooth on existing models jumps from BCM4325 to BCM4329. The component upgrade adds new support for 802.11n features, including the ability to find and join 5GHz networks.

Existing iPhone and iPod touch models only support 5GHz 802.11a networks, or 2.4GHz 802.11b/g networks, forcing users who want the top speed of 802.11n (available on all MacBooks) but compatibility with 802.11b/g networks (to use the existing iPhone) to set up a 2.4GHz compatible network. That compromise forces the wireless network to deal with interference from other networks on the often crowded 2.4GHz band.
